FAQs

In cosmetic applications, BOTOX can rejuvenate your appearance by smoothing fine facial lines, including frown lines, forehead wrinkles, and crow’s feet. Additionally, it can elevate eyebrows, address the “gummy smile,” reduce the prominence of jaw muscles for a slimmer face, and offer various other enhancements. Medically, BOTOX effectively addresses issues like excessive sweating and provides relief from tension headaches.

BOTOX belongs to the category of neuromodulators, a variation of botulinum toxin type A, which is precisely injected into targeted treatment zones. These compounds function by interrupting the nerve signals essential for the contraction of facial muscles. Administered through an ultra-fine needle, this purified protein targets the muscles responsible for wrinkle formation, leading to a significant reduction in fine lines and wrinkles. By preventing muscle contractions, it progressively diminishes the depth and intensity of these facial imperfections.

The outcomes of BOTOX treatment typically endure for approximately 3-4 months after the treatment date. As time passes, the body metabolizes the product, gradually restoring muscle movement in the treated area. To extend the longevity of Botox results, individuals can opt to remain consistent with treatments, following the recommended treatment schedule provided by their nurse injector.

There is no specific or incorrect age to commence BOTOX treatments. Typically, most individuals begin considering treatment in their mid-20s to early 30s. As a general guideline, it’s advisable to contemplate treatment when you observe that wrinkles persist after making an expression but fade when your face is at rest. However, each person’s circumstances are unique, and it’s recommended to consult with a medical professional before undergoing any treatment.

Indeed, Botox is approved by the FDA and Health Canada. Possible side effects of a BOTOX treatment can encompass temporary bruising, swelling, redness, or tenderness at the injection site, all of which typically resolve on their own within a few days to a week. Following the pre and post-care instructions diligently and ensuring proper administration by the injector can help minimize the likelihood of adverse effects.

The quantity of BOTOX required, along with the associated cost, varies from person to person. Factors influencing this may encompass the treatment area, muscle strength, desired outcomes, and previous treatment history.

Filler is employed to promptly replenish lost volume, resulting in a rejuvenated and well-rested appearance. It’s versatile and can enhance areas like cheeks, lips, and temples while also smoothing deep lines such as smile lines and hollows around the eyes.

Filler, composed of hyaluronic acid, is a naturally occurring molecule in the human body. It has the ability to bind and retain water within the skin, ensuring hydration and nourishment, while simultaneously providing volume and fullness. Consequently, dermal filler treatments effectively reduce fine lines and wrinkles. Furthermore, hyaluronic acid is naturally broken down by our own bodies over time.

The effects of dermal fillers become noticeable immediately after your treatment and continue to enhance over the following few weeks. The final results are typically evaluated at your follow-up appointment, which is scheduled for 2 weeks after your initial treatment.

The duration of dermal filler effects can range from 8 months to 2 years. The longevity of results is influenced by several factors, including the client’s age, metabolism, treated area, the type and quality of filler utilized, the quantity of filler administered, and one’s lifestyle.

Yes, the dermal filler brands and products we use are both FDA and Health Canada approved.

Commonly, mild swelling, redness, and bruising are observed after filler injections, and they may take 1 to 2 weeks to fully subside.

By adhering to pre and post-care instructions and ensuring proper administration of the treatment by the injector, the likelihood of adverse effects is minimized.

The quantity of dermal filler required and its associated cost varies for each person. Factors influencing this may encompass the treatment area, desired outcome, and previous treatment history.
